John Wilson [Play Video]
Having previous experience (I play McCartney in The Upbeat Beatles) of working with Creative Cam’s Paul Hooper I was under no illusions as to the outcome of filming my solo show.
Different brief this time, as the Upbeats DVD was entirely studio based and we were miming to our own recording, which in essence was an easier project.
You can only imagine the constraints of filming a 6 piece band “live” in a theatre with a tiny stage where the only access was down a cobbled Victorian path!!!
Paul had to navigate his way around a packed house along with an assistant and a fixed camera for the long shots. The show was almost 2 hours long but he managed it ,not well but brilliantly!!!! I’d had the audio from the show recorded separately and Paul edited everything together perfectly. Now you may ask yourself what about the cost? Only a fraction of what you would think.
If you want something done - correctly! Paul’s your man.

The Swinging Bluejeans [Play Video]
Most of the projects that Creative Cam are commissioned to do take a lot of planning and organisation. Occasionally we are asked to do something on the fly which little chance to organise. Such was the case when capturing the “live” atmosphere of a nostalgia music concert performed in Sweden featuring “The Swinging Blue Jeans.
This clip shows what can be achieved with minimum equipment and plenty of spontaneity. Post production work was required to give certain looks to the footage, but the quality of the original content, both visual and sound, allowed us to present a finished result that the band was very happy with. |

Sandy Newman [Play Video]
I have been working this year with Paul Hooper on a DVD project for both Marmalade and Sandy Newman, as a solo artist.
I have been impressed and excited by his flexibility and imagination in executing the filming, editing and presentation of the product. His focus and attention to detail are excellent.
Paul is not scared to try new things and this helps the creative process to progress in a steady, positive way.

CRASH [Play Video]
Paul Hooper and Creative Cam Co came highly recommended by our Guitarist Paul Grant-Reason. CCC had done a short promo reel for Paul's Robbie Williams Tribute band that I was very impressed with. Being used to BBC sports crews, I didn't know what to expect with the limited budget we had allocated to make a DVD. I was really pleased by Paul's professional conduct throughout, his easy going manner and most importantly the attention to detail he put into our Concert DVD. We were all delighted with the end result and would not hesitate to use Paul in future. He really got what the band was about and brought that to life on the screen. The added interview footage he took and edited into the finished DVD was the cream on the top.
Thanks Paul. Top Job!

These two clips differ in the fact that one was recorded live in concert when the band were on tour playing thier greatest hits on the Nostalgia circuit. The other captures the band in recent times rehearsing new material in order to prepare for going into the recording studio. |

The Upbeat Beatles [Play Video]
"Paul Hooper, of Creative Cam, came highly recommended to us, and as soon as we got back the first edit of our promo DVD, we could see why! We had left every aspect of the shoot in Paul’s hands, in fact our only brief to him was that he ‘make us look good’ and he more than delivered. His prompt, professional service meant that for our part, the shooting of our DVD was an entirely successful venture and for future projects we need look no further than Paul Hooper and Creative Cam Co." Colin Yates, The Upbeat Beatles
"After deciding to have a DVD shot for our clients and website we searched high and low for the right person. We needed someone who would bring out the best in the band but keep his eye on the commercial aspect. Our expectations were exceeded after using Paul Hooper and his Creative Cam organization. Not only was the filming simple and unobtrusive but the amount of care and attention to detail that went into the editing was more than we could have wished. Finally, the cost was a lot less than we had envisaged making the whole experience thoroughly worthwhile. Check out Paul Hooper and his work on our website-you won’t be disappointed." ABBA The Show (Smackee) [Play Video]
"Having worked as a vocalist and musician with Paul Hooper over the last 25 years it came as no surprise to hear that he was branching out into a new artistic venture with his Video Production Company, Creative Cam, and I was therefore not worried when I hired him to produce our promotional DVD.
"I was however bowled over by his results, and I am full of admiration for his hard work, patience and artistic achievement. Everyone involved in the project was more than satisfied with the finished result, and I have no reservations in recommending his work." Barry Walker ABBA THE SHOW |
Samling Opera - Sir Thomas Allen Interview [Play Video]
The Samling Foundation are a regional charity promoting The Arts throughout the UK. The Samling Opera Project saw the full scale production of a Mozart opera, Cosi fan tutte, at the prestigious Sage Centre in Gateshead. The opera project was promoted and followed up by a major educational resource CD-ROM, and Creative Cam Co were instrumental in the production of numerous video clips, interviews and filmed inserts for this.
Filmed on location at The Sage, rehearsal facilities, and the home of international singer Sir Thomas Allen, the video provides a rich resource of information about the project, and opera in general. |
The Fortunes [Play Video]
"Alex Hoek and Paul Hooper of Creative Cam did such a great job of filming, editing and producing the DVD of us, The Fortunes, working in the recording studio that we automatically asked them to make a DVD capturing us “live” in concert.
"Filmed over several concerts, and with Roger Lomas recording the sound, the finished result really captured the essence of the band and it turned out to be the best piece of merchandising we’ve ever had. Alex did a remarkable editing job. It was exactly what we hoped for and, more importantly, our fans loved it too!" Michael Smitham of The Fortunes |
The Ivy League [Play Video]

"We have now used Creative Cam Co on several occasions, to produce promotional DVDs for our portfolio of artists. We are always very pleased with the results, which are reflected in the response we get from our clients. Paul Reason as Robbie Williams [Play Video]
Creative Cam managed to capture all the excitement and energy of our tribute to Robbie Williams. We were so impressed with the results that we have asked Paul Hooper and his team to take part in another project with us. Very professional and easy to work with.
